Nuclear Test Ban Treaty

After years of negotiations and false starts in an attempt to halt the proliferation of nuclear weapons, the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union sign a nuclear test ban treaty prohibiting atmospheric, underwater, and outer-space testing.
