Dear Chris,

We just had a Vietnamese man come into our position with a terrible cut on his leg. ‘Doc’ took a look at it and said that gangrene had set in. We called in a helicopter and had him lifted to a hospital. One minute we’re killing them and the next minute we’re saving their lives.

Love, Alan
